Dishwashing Detergents
Getting your dishes spic and span shouldn’t come at the cost of polluted waterways and expanded landfills. Clean the green way with dish soaps that are gentle on your hands and the environment while being tough on grease — you shouldn’t require half the bottle. Look for certifications like EcoLogo as well as biodegradability, no animal testing, minimal packaging, and bulk jugs or refills. Plus make sure your cleaners don’t include ingredients of concern such as sodium laureth sulfate (a foaming ingredient that has a carcinogenic byproduct) and cocamide MEA (contains diethanolamine [DEA], which has been found to cause cancer in laboratory animals). And don’t forget to check out eco-friendly dish gloves and sponges while you’re at it.
